Detail
A crown is what you get when a filling can no longer do the job — usually after a large fracture, or following root canal treatment.
The two visits
The first prepares the tooth and takes a digital scan. You leave with a temporary crown that looks reasonable and works fine. The second fits the permanent one and adjusts the bite, which matters more than the colour and takes longer than people expect.
Materials
We use full-ceramic for front teeth and anything visible when you smile. For molars under heavy load, zirconia lasts longer and nobody will ever see it.
